Since the first case of COVID-19 virus in Kenya last year March, comrades have been far away from the varsity premises. The senate then pushed for online examination and online class and it was approved. Students coming from remote areas face many challenges to the bill that was passed,as network connectivity is so poor in villages and also problems relating to power supply. About 40% never attended classes and attempted the online exams which is already a missing mark to them. Comrades want resumption of face to face learning as soon as possible.
Speaking last week,UON lower Kabete UNSA leader Phroncine said"the fraternity is not serious with the life of comrades,if kindergarten pupils can attend classes why is it that matured people like us are barred away from resuming one on one learning yet we are able to manage ourselves".The students leaders have been facing threats from other comrades because they are claiming they are underperforming.
Only 21 comrades of Bcom class of 2021 are going to graduate after a majority missed online exams .This is so frustrating and comrades are not at peace
