When you talk of fun, then the Homabay County Governor is one of the most homorous governor's in the country and he do make his audience laugh out their ribs and he has always been trending in the country for that. At some point last year, he surprised the country when he jetted to Homabay while wrapped in polythene bags from head to waist as he was protecting himself from coronavirus.
This man Awiti is currently serving his second and final term in office after he was first elected in the year 2013 and then in 2017, he was re-elected.
Awiti was born in the year 1952 and he comes from a place called Mawego in Rachuonyo Constituency here in Homabay county and he cane from.a very humble background attending the school's of Mawego Primary School and Secondary School.
He later went to the Technical University of Mombasa which was by that time Called Mombasa Technical Training Institute and then later went to the University of Manchester.
