Teachers Serving on Board of Management (BOM) will now have a reason to smile following president Uhuru's yesterday announcement.
While celebrating Mashujaa Day in Kirinyaga county, the head of state pointed out the stimulus program that is set to be implemented in Kenya.
Among the mentioned concerns includes the boost to the Education sector. According to President Uhuru, the government through the Ministry of education is working to see that a total of 10,000 classrooms are constructed.
This is a boost to the Competence Based Curriculum (CBC) which is set to be implemented to replace the 8:4:4 system where junior secondary schools will be introduced in the curriculum.
With the construction of more classrooms, there is need for more teachers to attend to learners, for this reason, teachers serving on BOM terms will now have a reason to smile.
Moat of them especially those who graduated in earlier years will have an upper hand to secure job opportunities. This comes as Teachers Service Commission (TSC) is planning to recruit more teachers on Internship contact.
