Kenya is witnessing a spike in the cases of unrest in schools, with more than 50 learning institutions having been burnt down this term alone. A number of schools have been closed down after dormitories, classrooms and laboratories have been torched and in some instances, learners left nursing injuries.
This midmorning, reports reaching us just now is that another Boys High School form Samburu County has been closed and students sent home after students allegedly refused to wake up in the morning and attend morning classes.
This just come barely three weeks remaining before they break for Christmas holiday as from 23rd December to 3rd January. Since the start of this week alone more than five schools have been closed following students unrest in the school.
