
Education ministry through the cabinet secretary Ezekiel Machogu on Monday, January 16, 2023 released the official form one placement for 2022 KCPE candidates.
The CS announced that all the 1,233,852 candidates will proceed to form one in line with the governments 100% transition policy. Machogu announced that the candidates will receive the summative assessment results.

The CS further announced that the government has invested fully to the transition program and that the government shall spend Sh9.6 billion for students in Junior Secondary Schools this academic year; Treasury to set aside KES 15,000 per learner as capitation to facilitate free learning in all public schools.
In addition, the cabinet secretary announced that all the Junior Secondary Schools will be opened on 30th January 2023.

The candidates will be the first to experience the transition program with the government ensuring parents and students to assist in the entire process to make it simpler for all parties involved.
