A Masinde Muliro University student by the name Patrick was confirmed dead yesterday in the evening . He was flogged on his way to his room after class by thugs.The body was found by the roadside in the outskirts of Kakamega town.The issue of insecurity has been rampant in Kakamega estate.
Students around Kakamega town moreso Masinde Muliro University students are vulnerable to the issue of insecurity in Kakamega. For this matter the students have today made protests alongside that Kakamega eldoret road.

Police officers came in place to rescue the state of Kakamega due to protests of the students.Samuel Motari who is the University student leader has however issued a notice to the Kakamega County Administration to address the issue and bring on board the culprits. He said that failure to within 24 hours will lead to a serious protest.
Kakamega administration is responsible for the security of the county, therefore the police officers should perform their duties in order to curb this.
