Latest: KICD Unveils The First Ever University To Offer Competence Based Curriculum To Teachers

Competence Based Curriculum (CBC) is the proposed curriculum set to replace the long existed 8:4:4 curriculum. Implementation of the new curriculum has received a number of complains from both parents and teachers across the country.

Some parents have been taking it to social media platforms expressing their dissatisfaction on how expensive and engaging.

According to parents, the assignments given to learners is very engaging and requires parents to be very close with their sons and daughters.

However, despite the implementation stumbling blocks, Kabarak University has gone into books of records for being the first Kenyan University to offer Competence Based Curriculum (CBC) to teachers.

According to reliable sources, Kabarak University in collaboration with Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) has officially initiated the process of modifying its academic programs to align them in the Competence Based Curriculum (CBC).

This has been received with mixed reactions with some Kenyans doubting the effectiveness of the entire process while other embracing the curriculum.
