It has been a sad morning to Shitoto Girls secondary school fraternity in Mumias East ,Kakamega county after their principal collapsed and died while on her way to school.Mrs. Lily Mbati,who is the late principal of Shitoto Girls Secondary school collapsed this Wednesday morning while on her way to the school.
According to her son Edgar Akwabi while speaking to Citizen Digital ,he said that her mother is diabetic though yesterday Tuesday August 23 she was in a very good condition while he spoke to her on phone and encouraged her to take her medication.Though he received the worst news in the morning when he was called by neighbours only to be told that her mother collapsed and died while on her way to school.The late Mbati was the principal and the only homescience teacher at Shitoto Girls Secondary school in Mumias.Due to this,the school is requesting the ministry of education to check into this matter as we approach the national examinations.
The body of the deceased was taken to St. Mary's Mission Hospital Mortuary in Mumias.
