Available Job Opportunities at Kenya Methodist University

Kenya Methodist University (KeMU) is at the moment receiving applications from qualified candidates to fill in both permanent and temporary positions as I have outlined in the following categories. The institution is a Commissioned Private Christian University supported by the Methodist Church in Kenya. The University has the intention to employ staff at its main campus which is situated in the outskirts of Meru town and also at Nairobi and Mombasa campuses. qualified applicants are advised to make their submissions for the following positions:

Lecturers: KeMU/AA/SMHS/1/6/2020. Applicants in this category must be holders of a Doctorate degree in Medicine or else corresponding qualification from accredited academic institution. They should also be registered with the relevant certified body; they must have a Masters of Medicine in internal medicine, pediatrics, Reproductive Health, or surgery besides being holders of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB). It is mandatory for applicants to be  registered by Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council and they should hold a retention certificate of the KMPDC.

Anesthetist: KeMU/AA/SMHS/2/6/2020. Holders of Doctorate degree in Medicine, Master of Medicine in Anesthesiology, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or comparable prerequisite from a recognized institution are encouraged to apply.

They should be registered by a professional body and must be duly registered by Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.

Ophthalmologist: KeMU/AA/SMHS/3/6/2020. Applicants in this category must have a Doctorate degree in Medicine, must be a holder of Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology, a holder of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) and must be duly registered by Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council. Applicants with experience in a medical school will have an upper hand.

Surgeon: KeMU/AA/SMHS/4/6/2020. This post requires applicants to have a Doctorate degree in Medicine, must be holders of Master of Medicine in Anesthesiology, be holders of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB), be duly registered by Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council and holders of retention certificate of the KMPDC.

Radiologist: KeMU/AA/SMHS/4/6/2020. Applicants in this category must have a Doctorate degree in Medicine, must be a holder of Master of Medicine in Radiology, a holder of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) and must be duly registered by Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.

Histopathologist (Anatomic Pathologist): KeMU/AA/SMHS/6/6/2020. Applicants in this category must have a Doctorate degree in Medicine, must be a holder of Master of Medicine in Anatomic Pathology, a holder of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) and must be duly registered by Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council. 

Haematologist: KeMU/AA/SMHS/7/6/2020. Applicants with the following requirements are encouraged to make applications: Doctorate degree in Medicine, must be a holder of Master of Medicine in Hematology, a holder of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) and must be duly registered by Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.

Chemical Pathologist: KeMU/AA/SMHS/8/6/2020. Applicants in this category must have a Doctorate degree in Medicine, must be a holder of Master of Medicine in chemical pathology, a holder of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) and must be duly registered by Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.

Tutorial Fellow in Nursing: KeMU/AA/SMHS/9/6/2020. Applicants should be holders of MSc. in Nursing, must be registered by the Nursing Council of Kenya and have specialization in either Medical or Surgical Nursing; Critical care Nursing or Pediatrics.
