The first President of Kenya, Jomo Kenyatta was a typical African man since he had multiple wives.Among them was Wahu.He fathered a daughter with her and was named Margaret Wambui.She was a very bright girl in matters to do with studies.
In the year 1948, Alliance Girls High School was founded to accommodate female students of African descent.Wambui will go down in the books of history as the first girl to join the learning institution though her admission number was '1000'.She then proceeded to Makerere University after completing basic education.
When she came back to Kenya, Margaret followed her dad's footsteps by joining politics too.She has ever served as a mayor, deputy mayor and a councillor in Nairobi in her political career.
She died peacefully in the year 2017 at the 89 years of Age at her home in Lavington, Westlands Constituency.
