The government has set up institutions across the country where learners can acquire certificate and diploma courses at affordable rates.
We are going to look at three government colleges that are found in the County of Kisii that manage to offer the best courses and still maintain an affordable fee structure:
KMTC Kisii Campus
This college located right next to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital in Kisii Town, offers a wide range of medical related courses.
From nursing to trauma courses, this is one of the best colleges in Kisii County and the fact that it's adjacent to KTRH, the biggest Hospital in almost all of Southern Nyanza, means practicals are in plenty.
Kisii National Polytechnic
Formerly known as Gusii Institute of Technology, this is another institution that many are unaware of the vast number of government accredited courses it offers.
From Medical Engineering, Hair Beauty and Therapy, Pharmacy as well as Medical Laboratory Technology and a horde of business courses, this is the affordable institution that one can join.
The hostels are also cheap and you can always be sure that you are getting the best diploma and certificate course around.
It is located in Kisii Town.

Keroka Technical Training Institute
Located in Keroka, found in Nyaribari Masaba Constituency, this government owned college offers a wide range of courses at very affordable fees.
Founded not long ago, the Keroka Technical Training Institute is known for offering a wife range of diploma, certificate and artisan courses that have helped a lot of youths out there.
It also offers an opportunity for students from the neighboring counties of Homabay, Nyamira, Bomet and some have been known to come all the way from Siaya and Kisumu Counties.
