It is a sad day for teachers at Ombachi Self -help Primary after their colleague collapsed and died while preparing lessons for his pupils in the staff room.
A teacher who is known by the name of Charles Lema is reported to have died in his early 60s. Apart from being a teacher, Charles is the father of 13 children.
The school headteacher was called after this sudden incident occurred in the school staff room. According to the daily monitor, the headteacher confirmed that Charles had gone to be with the Lord. He added that Charles had never complained or reported to him of any illness history. He described the late as a passionate and hardworking teacher who was free to interact with.
The District Educational officer said that this death was a big blow and urged other teachers to always communicate whenever they feel signs of illness.
Laboratory results confirmed that the late Charles died of Cardiac arrest, a complication that is associated with the heart. May his soul rest in peace.
