Good news have emerged all over the country after on leader from Kenya was recognized in a top European newspaper.
Uasin Gishu county governor Jackson Kiplagat Mandago has been praised in one of the top European newspaper known as Aemulehti. This after he successfully secured scholarships and job opportunities for the youths in his own county.
The county government and the Finland government came into agreement and 51 Students are to secure a chance to study in Finland. Those persueing Nursing will take their course in Tampere University of Applied Sciences. The first set is scheduled to begin their studies in September and also another intake will take place in January 2022 where also over Fifty students are expected to participate.
The Uasin Gishu county government together with the Finland government also agreed to provide part-time jobs in Tampere city. The jobs will help the Students in catering for their daily/upkeep needs and also be able to cater for some part of their school fees.
