Form One Selection Dates For Secondary Schools And Fees To Be Paid

The results of the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education examination, which was administered at the beginning of December 2022, were just released by the Ministry of Education in the Republic of Kenya. Many students across Kenya celebrated their success in passing the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) with flying colours. In contrast, others mourned their failure, and even some primary schools staged protests over their marks.

Well, once the KCPE results have been out, parents whose children will be entering first grade in the coming school year are excitedly awaiting the announcement of school placements and, later, the starting dates for the Form one pupils at each school.

Next year, a student's placement into form one is expected to be based on their KCPE scores. There will be a final form one selection by January 16, 2023, a week before classes resume on January 23, 2023, according to sources from Nation media.

According to a Kenyan news outlet, the annual tuition for kids attending National and additional county schools has increased to Ksh 53,554 from Ksh 45,000.
