According to the school principal Dominic Munywoki, there were not injuries since the inferno happened when the students were in class for the morning preps.
Munywoki in his address has however highlighted that power issues are to blame for the fire breakout. The dormitory accommodated atleast 200 boys.
The school workers and teachers who were around teamed up to stop the fire before it could spread to other dormitories.
Sadly, a large number of facilities were burned down including mattresses and student's belongings. Nothing was recovered
The county commissioner however has confirmed that his team is working to ensure that they investigate that cause of the fire.
The fire cases had stopped in the past few months and we hope that this scenario will not fuel other students to set their schools ablaze.
