William Ruto, the deputy president has received congratulations from the teachers unions after his election victory.
Following his announcement as the winner of the election Ruto has received congratulations from the Kenya National Union of Teachers and the Kenya Union of Post Primary Education.
Oyuu congratulated the winner on behalf of the 110 branches of Knut the National Executive Council of Knut the 47 Knut County leadership and all the Kenyan teachers.
According to Oyuu, the president-elect impressed teachers with his statesmanlike performance in his victory speech.
According to Oyuu, "we Kenyan teachers, we look forward to seeing a united country in your hands and a stronger administration that will prioritize education the future of our children, and proper handling of teachers labour concerns."
Akelo Misori, the secretary of the Kuppet also praised Ruto and reaffirmed the union commitment to working with the government on behalf of Kenyan educators and teachers.
