List Of Preferred Courses By The Top 15 2020 KCSE Students As Most Prefer Medical Courses

Kenya Universities Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) have finally unveiled the list of preferred courses by the top 15 students who performed well nationally during the KCSE 2020 examinations. Having finished placing over 700,000 students, the list of the preferred course has been revealed.

According to the list, almost all the 15 top 15 students who emerged top nationally in the previous KCSE examinations have chosen medical related course with priority being on Bachelor of Science Medicine and Sergey with some going for Pharmacy and only two out of the 15 students choosing a course outside medicine.

However, for one to qualify for Medicine and Sergey, one has to qualify by hitting the required cutoff points which is set as the threshold for the course. The cut-off points for Medicine and Sergey are allegedly above 45, similarly to Pharmacy and Engineering as per the courses selected by the top 15 students. It seems like Engineering had a low market for the well performed students with Medical courses getting more students. What even amazed more is that the courses selected by the top 15 will be undertaken by the students at The University of Nairobi (UoN), all most all of them have selected UoN as their preferred university of enrollment with only few choosing JKUAT.
