The teachers service commission has come up with strict measures to ensure nobody is teaching in school illegally. The commission established biometric registration as from yesterday it was piloting it. Whoever in the school compound Is supposed to sign in and out on daily basis.
These move aims at weeding out the rogue teachers in schools. Those who have been deregistered and those without TSC numbers. All of them will have no otherwise other than quiting the profession immediately.
The new system is also expected to curb exam cheating in the national exams. Whoever involved in any way during this exercise in compromising student's integrity towards exams is prone to arrest and deregistration.
It's true that our Institutions have teachers who haven't graduated or have not received their TSC number. Some are being held in school by the mercies of the principal and the board. However, this is likely not to happen again with the biometric system.
Those who are found of cheating in exams will face the full force of law. The ministry came up with this system after the ministry decried of increasing number of exam cheating malpractice.
We wish them all the best. Thanks
