Marking of Kenya certificate of primary education exams done two weeks ago is complete and the release of Results may happen any time soon.

The three day exam ended on March 22 to pave way for the commencement of Kenya certificate of Secondary education which is currently anderway.

As the KCPE candidates hold their fingers crossed waiting for that very important announcement, they will however wait longer to know the schools they will be joining as selection excecise may delay as reported by the daily nation Monday.

This is because of the changes introduced on the academic calendar whereby they are supposed to join form one in July when term one of 2021 starts.

The new calendar will also see grade four pupils spend the whole of term three of 2020 academic year at home as they wait to join grade five in July.

The calendar for 2020/2021 is shown below

It's worth noting that both class eight and grade four opened school earlier in October 2020 when they did their second term while the rest were at home.

Over 1 Million class eight pupils will join various categories of Secondary schools come July depending on perfomance.

Those with over 400 marks will be admitted to prestigious National schools while those with less than 200 marks will be admitted to subcounty schools.
