Hon Kanini Kega, who is a member of parliament for Kieni constituency ignited a hot debate online when he met with KEPSHA Officials over the current situation in schools. According to his recent post, he said he hosted a breakfast meeting with KEPSHA Officials from Kieni west led by Mr Peter Kariuki where they discussed the contemporary issues affecting schools.(Courtesy photo)
Perhaps, he said he has committed to avail more funds through NG-CDF towards improving the infrastructural development in all their schools. Moreover, they also discussed at length the education standards in the sub-county and they have set aside a date when all the players and stakeholders in this sector will meet for consultative engagement on the way forward.(Courtesy photo)
He further confirmed that in the next day he shall engage with some Officials from Kieni East sub-county. To him, education is the key issue in his leadership, and he shall strive to ensure that every child access education.
His post attracted several comments from Kenyans, majority of them praised him for prioritizing education in his leadership. They further urged him to continue with the same spirit since his political future is so luminous.
