The first advice give to teachers and schools by Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) is on how they will carry out the assessments to learners as well as the deadline to be followed in the process.
Dr Mercy Karogo the KNEC boss has affirmed that term 3 assessment will be done exactly two weeks after reopening of schools on 10th May 2021. She has said," The assessments of 2020 grade 3 learner's shall be administered in third term when the current accademic year is ending according to new post covid 19 school calendar."
The aim of the assessment is to providing an accountability platforms for teachers, nurturing and identification of learners abilities, improving learning and Instructions, facilitating the selection pathways,track in Senior secondary and providing feedback to learners and all stakeholders.
The assessments tools and Instructions are expected to be downloaded from KNEC portal by the schools and upload the same based on various integrated learning areas.
