The Candidates were expected to join Form one this January but this was not possible since the National examinations were delayed last year when all schools had to shut down due to COVID-19.
With parents now racing against time to find schools fees for their children, the Ministry of Education has today sent a warning to all parents ahead of reopening.
According to Jwan, some schools boards are planning to demand illegal fees from parents ahead of the Form One admission.
Jwan has warned all parents to be vigilant and report any case to the Ministry where they will be required to pay excess fees.
Some school principals who spoke to the Standard have however complained that they are forced to demand for heavy fees from parents because the government is underfunding them.
It is thus not easy for them to carry out school development projects such as improving the school Infrastructure to accommodate new students.
Due to this reason, they have no option but to demand more fee to cater for some of these school initiatives.
