Education can be defined as the process of acquisition of knowledge, skills, morals as well as a facilitation of learning. Education can either be formal or informal with it being arguably the best investment a parent or guardian or even a nation can offer to its public.
Currently, the Republic of Kenya's school calendar generated by the Ministry of Education in conjunction with the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development is very unpredictable since last year after it was interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Education Ministry in Kenya headed by the Education Cabinet Secretary,Professor George Magoha has however tried to compress the terms with an urge of trying to come back to the normal predictable school calendar. According to the Ministry of Education, the normal school calendar will be back on the track as by December 2023.
The schools are now on the edge of reopening for the second term once again. All students are expected to reopen as from 12th November 2021 since the outlined school opening dates by the Ministry's calendar, those being 10th and 11th of November 2021 are a weekend and a holiday respectively. Thus a large number of schools will reopen as on 12th November.
