Principal Secretary for Early Learning and Basic Education popularly known as Julius Jwan has today, Tuesday, 5th July, 2022, told school heads to let children be with their parents, he said this during the ongoing Kenya Private Schools Association (KPSA) annual conference which is currently held in Mombasa, the cabinet secretary for the ministry of education, Prof George Magoha was also present.Addressing the conference in Mombasa Cs George Magoha has cautioned schools against conducting holiday tuition which is against the Ministry of Education directive, the Ministry of Education banned holiday tuition in August 2008, a directive for both private and government schools, as some school heads were accused of obver charging parents for the holiday tuition.George Magoha has also directed Quality Assurance and Standards officials to reinspect all private schools, this will help determine the preparedness for Junior Secondary School. Learners across the country, came home for term one holiday on July 1st and they are now expected to report back to school to commence term two on Monday, July 11.
