Sakaja's Words About UoN Degree Comes to Haunt Him as What He Said at Past Interviews Surfaces

The UDA gubernatorial candidate Johnson Sakaja has found himself at the centre of a storm over his university degree. This comes after it emerged that he did not graduate from the UoN despite having enrolled for a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science in 2003.

It has emerged that Johnson Sakaja reportedly presented a degree certificate from Nairobi University when he was being cleared for Nairobi County senatorial race. However, Sakaja on Friday admitted that he did not graduate from the University of Nairobi which raises fresh storm. He had however claimed in another past interview that he had graduated from UoN with a degree in Actuarial Science. Sakaja however presented a degree from Teams University for clearance by IEBC for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat.

While revealing why he did not finish his studies at the the University of Nairobi, Johnson Sakaja said that he lacked money to clear his fees. However these remarks have sparked reactions considering that the Senator had fashioned himself as a businessman who used to make a killing while at the University of Nairobi.

In an past interview with Churchill Show in June last year, John Sakaja revealed that he bought his first car and a house while still a student at UoN. This contradicts his remarks that he lacked fees which made him not to finish his studies.

"I had a salon, laundry, Kinyozi, washing guys' clothes. Every day I had an extra 6,000. I had some resources because I bought the car for 500,000. By the time I was in my fourth year I had an apartment in Yaya." Sakaja stated while Speaking during an interview on Churchill's show.
