The Ministry of Education led by the Education Cabinet Secretary, Ezekiel Machogu, announced that President William Ruto will provide the way forward for the Grade Six students and give directives, after recieving updates from the task force reviewing the Competency Based Cariculum (CBC) in the coming few weeks.
Speaking in Kisumu on Thursday, November 17, Ezekiel explained that the President will issue the pronouncement on time before schools reopen on time before the schools reopen in January next year, noting that the parents are anxious on the fate of the Grade six students.
"I want to request the parents and the teachers to be patient because as we open the school by January 23, our young ones will know wether they will be domiciled in primary or in secondary schools.
"What he (the president) will be giving, will be the information that has been collected from people all over the country," stated the CS.
Ezekiel's statements comes at a time, when the parents have expressed their concerns regarding the uncertainty surrounding the transition.
