The teachers across the country are soon getting a one week break after the closure of schools.The schools will be opened on 26th July for term one 2021.
The teachers had expected to get a new CBA from 1st of July.Unfortunately,they have failed.The talks between TSC and the unions didn't end up with better financial counter offers to teachers.
Currently,the teachers are applying for the new TSC Jobs that were advertised yesterday.TSC is determined to bridge the gap in teachers shortages in both primary and secondary schools.The double transition in form one admission in 2023 is expected to see a huge enrollment of students.The Government is doing what it can to salvage the situation.
During the holidays,some teachers have been going for book review that is always sponsored by KICD.In most cases,the teachers do converge at Nakuru in Kabarak University.At the end of the exercise,they leave with some good money.
The Institute has announced vacancies for book editors who in most cases are teachers in service.They will do the final editing of the 18 indigenous languages for the grade 4 books.The advert is as below with the deadline set to be 13th July.
