University students have a reason to smile as medical experts sends message of hope to Government officials over reopening of schools after long months of closing.
According to the standard, Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Council(KMPDC) has ordered the final year students to return to class and sit examinations .
According to the KMPDC Chief Executive Officer Daniel Yumbya,he wants urgent measures put in place to allow students undertake mandatory clinical examinations. His message resonates with the proposal of public and private universities managers who requested to be allowed to take in final year students to start learning while observing corona virus protocols.
Unfortunately, Cabinet Secretary George Magoha had early on said that its only strathmore and Mount kenya universities who which had prepared to reopen. He said this after going across various learning institutions to check their level of preparedness.
Despite the shocking news that its only two universities who are prepared, the message from Daniel Yumbya gives hope to the students reopening of schools.
