Teachers who are employed by the Teachers Service Commission can now undertake Teachers Profession Development training with ease after it emerged that the members of the parliament will include ksh.6000 in the estimate budget. Teachers are currently required to part with ksh.6000 for them to be allowed to go through mandatory training. Florence Mutua who is the chairperson of National Assembly Education committee said that "funds will be factored in the general capitation allocated to the ministry of education" This will help teachers to offset the burden of paying Ksh.6000.

Settling the cost will help many teachers who were not able to foot the required amount to register for the training .The Teachers Service Commission have been given mandate of ensuring that teachers undertake the training before the renewal of their official certificate. The Teachers Service Commission will do the follow up of teachers who have registered with the different contracted institutions for Teachers Professional Development programme and keep records.
