Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance's fresh set of demands have been made known to President William Ruto in the new year by National Assembly Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi.
In his most recent comments, Wandayi said that parents of high school children would not settle for anything less than a subsidy for returning to school fees, a payment to HELB to assist student loans, and the hiring of all qualified teachers.
The Ugunja MP has emphasized that as President Ruto reacts to their recent concerns aired on New Year's Eve, he should not fail to address the three issues even as schools reopen.
National Assembly Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi stated, "As President responds to our concerns raised on 31 December, Azimio Coalition reminds him that High School parents won't accept anything less than a return to school fees subsidy, a disbursement to HELB to facilitate students loans, & that all trained teachers be absorbed this January."
Following news that President Ruto intends to end HELB financing for college students, Wandayi made these comments.
