While passing by the Egerton University main gate, Ruto received a heroic welcome from the Njoro residents. He had a chance to interact with troubled students of this great institution whose learning activities have been greatly disrupted due to the ongoing strike between the lecturers and the school administration.
According to the privy sourced information from the troubled students, learning has been greatly impaired with the strike now in its third week as the efforts by the university administration and the lecturers union to reach an agreement hit a rock.
Due to this reason, many of the students opted to attend today's campaign and cheer the chief hustler who was passing by to rally the residents in supporting his political ambitions in the 2022 presidential race.
Ruto further on awarded the Mama Mbogas a total of Ksh 500,000 to help them raise their businesses. He then promised to give handouts amounting to Ksh 200,000 to the university students through their leaders who promised to vote for him in the upcoming general elections.
