The Education Ministry of Kenya is one of the key ministries in the Kenyan nation. The Education Ministry of Kenya has released a major announcement for schools.

To reduce absenteeism, the government will begin providing free sanitary towels to more than a million schoolgirls in two weeks.

Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu announced that his department has acquired sanitary towels for each female enrolled in a public school in light of the current circumstances. On the margins of the yearly Kenya Universities Funding Conference, he spoke in Mombasa.

According to Machogu, the government granted us Sh470 million this fiscal year, which we utilized to buy sanitary towels that were distributed to schools. Every school should be able to get sanitary towels starting in the following two weeks.

According to UNESCO report, one in ten schoolgirls in sub-Saharan Africa miss class time while they are menstruating.

For verification of the above information, you can visit the Nation's official Twitter handle and get to know more about these free sanitary towels, which are about to be distributed to schools next month.
