The primary schools suffer a big blow following this crucial message over Competency Based Curriculum. The new Competency Based Curriculum education system has been raising several questions among the Kenyans, the new education system is now replacing 8-4-4 education system, the ministry of education has been claiming that Competency Based Curriculum is equips learners with the skills which will enable them to cope with the current situation of life. However parents have been raising a great concern on how the Competency Based Curriculum has overburdened them.
Actually the Primary Schools suffer a big blow over capitation following this emerging news, upon the transition in 2023, the projected population in the Secondary Schools will hit 5.56 million, while the population decline in the Primary Schools will lead to accumulative lose of shs 3.5 million in capitation for the first year of the CBC. This is because the class eight and class seven will be moved to junior secondary schools.
