A total of 43 teachers have today been delt a blow after the teachers commission deregistered them for various cases pertaining to violation of the commission's ethics and conduct.
According to the information released to the media, the Chief Executive Officer Nancy Macharia released the names and TSC numbers of the members the commission removed from its list.
"In exercise of power conferred by section 30 of the TSC Act, the commission wishes to notify the public that the persons whose names are specified in the schedule herein below have been removed from the Register of Teachers pursuant to the provision of section of 30(2) of the Act, " The notice needs.
The CEO went ahead and cautioned any schools against employing any of the above teachers stating that such an offence would attract a penalty not less than 100000 or six month imprisonment. She also stated that a decision to reinstate any of the above teachers will only be made within the commission.
Ever since a new KNUT management took over Hon Wilson Session, the Teachers have lamented about oppression from the commission. They accused the current KNUT CEO Mr Oyuu of siding with the TSC thereby forgetting to champion for their wellbeing.
