The teachers have been yearning for TSC jobs. However, getting the jobs can sometimes be very difficult due to the high number of applicants who scramble for these vacancies. As usual a teacher who has secured the TSC job would want to get promoted in future.Unfortunately, getting promoted is very difficult today. The Commission has made a lot requirements in the current scheme of service that do give the teachers some sleepless nights.
There are some 15,000 teachers who are yet to be issued with their promotion letters for administrative positions. In February,TSC interviewed some 33,000 teachers for the 15,000 slots. The teachers who applied for these positions have waited in vain for their letters.Reasons as to why TSC does not want to release the letters are unknown.Instead, the Commission opted to extend the contracts for the retired headteachers. This move dissapointed many.
The teachers should however not give up in their quests for administrative positions. There are thousands of teachers who may get these jobs after revelations of the high number of administrators who are expected to retire next year.Education Digital News has established that some 25,000 more administrators are set to retire next year by 30th June. This means that the teachers who need these positions should start looking for the basic requirements such as the Certificate of good conduct amongst others since there are hopes.
