Why Teachers Should Go Back To School To Enroll For TPD Modules Suggested By TSC

All learning institutions both primary and secondary schools are expected to officially open schools for term two, 2021.This is after a 10 day holiday which saw schools close across the country.

With the recent directives from the Teachers' Service Commission (TSC), all teachers are expected to go back to class and enroll for Teacher Program Development (TPD) modules.

According to the commission, teachers will be expected to pay six thousand shillings per every module. The expected modules per every teacher is supposed to be six.

The announcement saw teachers present their outcry with some asking for further consideration by TSC to pay the fee for teachers.

In response to their cries, former KNUT Secretary General Wilson Sossion has responded, telling teachers to go back to school or lose their jobs.

According to today's Daily Nation, Sossion says teachers fought him when he could present their views to the relevant stakeholders, Sossion has therefore advised teachers to stick to their employer's directives.
