14 High School Students Escape From A Moving Matatu To Avoid Arrest

DCI detectives based in Kirinyaga are looking for 14 high school students who escaped from a Nairobi bound moving matatu after being found smoking bhang.

According to the statement from the DCI investigations, the culprit students were from Fred's Grammer Mixed Secondary school. The students had boarded the matatu belonging to 2NK Sacco at the Karatina Bus Terminus on their way home for the nationwide compulsory midterm break.

The matatu driver John Maina smelled a strong aroma of Marijuana coming from the back of the matatu while they were approaching Kibingeti along the Nyeri-Nairobi highway.

John Maina said that when he checked on the rearview mirror on what is happening, he was shocked to see billowing smoke as the seemingly excited teenagers passed a joint amongst themselves, while others imbibed alcoholic drinks.

The driver then decided to raise an alarm to the police officers who decided to go after the matatu to arrest those unruly students. The students upon realising that the police are unto them sought escape through the windows of the matatu and escaped. Thank you for reading.
