Good News to University Students as Raila Promises to Convert HELB Loans into Grants If Elected

The Constitution of Kenya grants every citizen a democratic right to participate in the electoral processes such as vying for different political seats and electing leaders of their own choice.

Next year August, Kenyans will head to different polling stations to elect leaders of their own choice from the Member of County Assembly (MCA) to President.

Orange Democratic Movement party leader Raila Amollo Odinga has already declared his presidential bid in the forthcoming general elections. Odinga has toured different parts of the country to campaign for his presidency through Azimio la Umoja initiative.

In his remarks today in one of the political tours in Mt Kenya region, Odinga has promised to convert the higher education loans board (HELB) loan into a grant where by the needy university students will enjoy the grants freely without paying back.

In conclusion, Odinga has also promised that once he gets elected as the fifth president of the republic of Kenya, he will ensure that the jobless youths earn a stipend of Ksh 6000 to sustain them.
