Sad news as Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) face difficulty times a head following these emerging news. The ministry of education is rushing speedily to ensure that the education sector has come to its normalcy by the year 2023, as a result the education stakeholders came up with 2020, 2021and 2022 academic calendars which have few weeks as compared to the previous years. Also learners are given short holidays which will last for just one week, this has occurred as a result of the entry of Covid 19 Pandemic into this country, something which altered the whole of 2020 academic calendar.
Unfortunately the Competency Based Curriculum has now faced difficult times a head following these emerging news. Actually the days to put the Competency Based Curriculum into test has now approached, the ministry of education is going to conduct double intakes, whereby we shall have Grade 6 candidates who will join Junior secondary school and on the same time we shall have class eight candidates who will join form one in various secondary schools across this country. There will be a great demand for more classrooms and dormitories to accommodate the Junior secondary students. There shall be also a demand for more trained teachers on CBC to tackle, Junior secondary classes. Therefore this sounds as bad news to the ministry of education.
