There are reports of student protests at Kisumu National Polytechnic in opposition to the school's plans to raise tuition.
A protest against the proposed tuition increases has been organized by the students of Kisumu National Polytechnic. from the Defender of Democracy Movement.
The president's working group has recommended hiking tuition in order to reform education.
The working group has recommended doubling the current government-funded tuition fee of Ksh. 16,000 per semester.
If the suggestions of the presidential working group on education reforms are put into practice, the cost of attending Kenya's public institutions might rise.
