MoH Delivers Bad news To Teachers, Parents and Learners Ahead of Schools Reopening

Schools in Kenya are set to reopen for the second term on Tuesday next week in a crush program that has seen teachers and learners having a holiday of only one week. The outbreak of covid-19 has impacted negatively on education. Parents have found it difficult to prepare children back to school as some have lost jobs.

The ministry of health has once again predicted the possible outbreak of fifth covid-19 wave in the country. Speaking to the People's Daily,the chairman to the National covid-19 vaccine deployment Mr. Willis Akhwale said the areas that would be affected is western and Nyanza region.

He encouraged people to take the vaccine as the fifth wave could break out at the end of November this year.

Teachers have also been advised to take the jab so as to protect themselves from this deadly virus. The scientist have predicted that the fifth wave is more lethal as the virus will have undergone mutation.
