Exposed: Principals Called Out For Exploiting Parents Through Uniform Money

With the Form One Admissions coming to a close, principals have been called out for using form one admissions as avenues to mint money from helpless parents by inflating prices of school uniforms.

According to an establishment by The Saturday Standard, parents are forced to pay upto shs.25,000 for uniforms even when the market price of the same uniforms is three times less.

Nicholas Maiyo, the chairman of the National Parents' Association has called out the ministry of education for not regulating the school uniform market which has been infiltrated by Cartels.

Even with the government's push for uniformity, parents should not be forced to buy uniforms from specific shops, but instead parents should be given the uniform color and material specification and be given liberty to purchase from any shop they choose.

If not all, most of us have been to highschool and have gone through the hands of such hungry principals or maybe you as a parent has been forced to buy a trouser for your child at shs.700,a trouser that would have costed shs.400 in an open air market.

Such conspiracies should stop. What do you think?
