Two students from Michuki Technical Training College have drowned to a local waterfall in central Kenya. According to the eyewitness at Iyego constituency where the tragic accident occurred, the two students were among the group of friends who had travel to the Karuuga waterfalls for a day.
According to reports established, the incident occurred when one of the student who is yet to be identified, is said to have slipped while attempting to take a photo and plunged into a raging waters of the swollen Mathioya river.
Witness accounts the incident and indicated that another male student jumped into the river in a bid to save the girl but he was also swept by the waters. Efforts to save the two were not successful, as officer's are set retrieve the bodies.
