DP Ruto Makes Crowd Go Wild After Amount of Money He Gave to Parents in Gatanga (Video)

Deputy President William Ruto warmed the hearts of many Gatanga residents after what he did to parents who are struggling to pay their children’s school fees.

DP Ruto was called to present a bursary cheque but when he took the microphone, he revealed he will donate more money which will be shared by all the parents who had applied for the bursary.

Ruto was at Gatunyu Grounds, Gatanga in Murang’a County on Wednesday attending the launch of Wakili Edward Muriu Pesa Mfukoni Bursary Fund.

The second in command presented a bursary cheque worth Sh5 million but decided to add Sh2 million which will be given to parents to help pay their children’s schools fees.

The crowd went wild as Ruto’s personal assistance walked to the podium where Ruto and Muriu were and handed over Sh2 million which was in a brown envelope to Muriu.

Ruto warned Muriu not to look for new parents saying the Sh2 million should be shared to parents who had applied for bursary in the constituency.

The DP said Muriu had already identified parents from Gatanga constituency who are unable to afford school fees as he said the money should go to them on top of what they would get as bursary.

“If you find someone who is working hard, you push them. These parents that you have already identified, they will share the Sh2 million and you will add to the amount that you had already given them so that the children can continue with their education,” said Ruto amid cheers and claps from the crowd.

Ruto is currently touring Mt Kenya region as the 2022 election campaigns gather momentum and he has been busy trying to build his support base in Mt Kenya region.
