Technical University of Mombasa is the only public university located at sea level and the only serving institution of higher learning in Mombasa Kenya. The school which is located in Tudor, Mvita constituency acquired it's chatter during Kibaki's era. Today the Lecturers' of that university has decided to continue with the strike which began on 27th of September. This is the second day of demonstration and boycotting classes hence disadvantaging the students and especially the final year students.
The main cause of strike is the state of the institutions services including Lecturers CBA, medical coverage and matters pertaining promotions. After a heated deliberation with the vice Chancellor Leila, she responded rudely hence provoking the lecturers even more. They swore if the VC is responding rudely then they will demonstrate rudely too. The students being on the receiving end have been left confused. Some junior lectures were featured teaching students and were thrown out of their respective lecture hall on quest for solidarity.
We're yet to know when the school administration will respond accordingly and I'll keep on updating you so kindly follow my profile.
