Postpone Junior Secondary School And Continue With 8-4-4 System Because it Expensive ~ Opinion

Thank you once more, cherished readers, and welcome to my daily news updates.

The state of junior secondary schools has dominated news coverage since the beginning of this year.

It is important to keep in mind that on January 23, 2023, all schools will be in session. Students in grade six moved from elementary schools to junior secondary schools, which, according to President William Samoei Ruto, should be located in primary schools.

Given the youth of students in grade seven, this was a reasonable suggestion.

The Teachers Service Commission TSC also hired teachers for a JSS school at the same time. They were sent to every JSS institution.

The fact that not all schools are ready and there are not enough teachers worries a lot of people. The new curriculum also appears to be very expensive. Because of the high costs the system entails, this prompted some legislators to request two days ago that the government abolish it.

Additionally, not all of the textbooks for JSS students have been made available to schools, which makes things more challenging.
