Nancy Macharia is one of the most known people in the country. She has been dominating headlines because she is always vocal and extremely controversial in most occasions. In recent days, all has not been well between the TSC CEO and the teachers because tutors have been complaining about some intimidations and frustrations from the TSC and the Ministry of Education.
Well, as things seem to be, the Education sector is in a limbo after Nancy Macharia broke lose and publicly decided to expose President Uhuru Kenyatta's government over less allocation of money.
According to Nancy Macharia as reported by the Daily Nation, between 8,000 and 10,000 teachers exit the service annually yet for over 5 years now, the commission has been allocated funds to employ only 5,000 per year. Nancy Macharia insisted that what they have been receiving is way below the target of 12,626 tutors per year that were recommended in TSC 2019-2023 strategic plan.
