Raila Buys Bread Worth 100k For Students in Mwongori High School

Former prime minister Raila Odinga has contributed cash of 100,000 Kenyan shillings to students of Mwongori High School, Nyamira County meant for the purchase of bread.


Raila Odinga who was accompanied by several leaders to Nyamira, had been invited together with CS Fred Matiang'i a to a fundraising in Mwongori. The fundraising was meant for improving the school's construction.

The ODM party leader who received a warm welcome from the gusii leaders topped up the amount ontop of another 200k that had already been contributed by other leaders for the purchase of the student's bread. However, the amount was not part of the money that were raised for the construction of the school.

Among the leaders that present include Ministry of Health Cabinet secretary Mutahi Kagwe, CS Eugene Wamalwa, Governor Ongwae, Governor Nyaribo, MP Ben Momanyi, MP Onyonka Momoima, Simba Arati, Ngwenyi among others.

Meanwhile, the deputy president William Ruto has today taken a two day visit to western where he is expected to sell his presidential bid to supporters in the region ahead of next year's general elections.
