Following the presidential address that demanded immediate closure of all physical learning institutions, most colleges and universities reverted their mode of teaching to online classes. The institutions promises learners that they will receive subsidized mobile data bundles to facilitate the online learning process.
However, the process is at stand still in Meru University after SAMU summoned her members to cease the online classes until the data bundles are provided. In the letter addressed to the learners, Mr Irungu Francis, secretary together with Mr Rugut Amos, chairman, they listed their priorities ahead of the online classes as indicated in the above letter.
Meanwhile, Maseno University also instructed learners that online classes were to begin today. What was objected by the learners since schools are scheduled to open in 3 weeks time. The institutions are running out of time and therefore they consider this mode to enable learners graduate on time.
