It has passed some a few days since marking of the Kenya Certificate Of Secondary Education began and the ministry of education is set to announce the results on 23 jan 2023, yesterday, a drama was witnessed in one of the Kenya Certificate Of Secondary Education Examination marking centers ( st Francis mang'u girls high school) whereby, the teachers from this center stopped the exercise during marking of C.R.E exams and started a protests.
CS Education Ezekiel Machogu together with the Education principle secretary Belio Kipsang went to the center to know the problem. The tutors were protesting harsh marking conditions, rigid marking scheme similar to that was used in 2010 kcse marking , low payment, being denied to carry mobile phones or laptops which made their communication cumbersome. The tutors rejected The official's negotiation and continued to protest until the police were deployed to stop the activity. They exited until further notice.
